Children have been learning about Pentecost in our R.E. unit this term, and in today’s session, children focused on the power of the Holy Spirit. Pentecost is the festival when Christians celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit. It is celebrated on the Sunday 50 days after Easter. Children retold the story of how the Holy Spirit descended on Jesus’ followers, arriving like a strong wind and looking like tongues of fire.
