How important is soil?
That was the question posed to Year 2 at the beginning of our Green Day. We learnt about the difference between soil and dirt and were amazed at how much soil influences our lives. It is a vital habitat for organisms, a source of nutrients for plants and takes thousands of years to form.
We were shocked to find out how soil is at risk and working in groups, we made posters offering advice on how to save our soil.
