The children in Year 4 have recently been introduced to Melva, a creative programme designed to help children and young people's knowledge and understanding of mental health and wellbeing. This week, Year 3 have been taking part in Anti-Bullying Week, focusing on the theme “Power for Good.” The week began with a whole-school assembly, followed by Odd Socks Day , where pupils celebrated individuality and kindness. Throughout the week, the class took part in role-play activities and learned about the different roles involved in bullying, including how to be an effective upstander. Pupils shared thoughtful ideas about how small actions can make a big difference. T

Prior to half term, Year 5 had a visit from the NSPCC to talk about how children can stay safe and know who to turn to if they ever feel worried. The session was really engaging and age-appropriate, covering topics such as speaking out, recognising unsafe situations, and understanding that every child has the right to feel safe and supported. This morning, Year 2 had a fantastic time taking part in an NSPCC Speak Up Workshop. We learnt about our trusted adults at home and at school. We learnt that everyone has the right to feel safe, and who we can talk to if we have any worries or concerns. Finally we made Buddy puppets and explored the NSPCC Website.
