Year 5 at Marrick Priory Part II

Following on from our first post, we’re excited to share even more highlights from Year 5’s incredible residential at Marrick Priory. Over the three days, the children continued to grow in confidence, independence and teamwork while making memories that will last a lifetime.

As well as taking responsibility for daily tasks like making their beds and helping with mealtimes, the children threw themselves into a range of adventurous outdoor activities. From scaling climbing walls to testing their balance and bravery, to working together during orienteering challenges, every activity encouraged resilience and problem-solving.

Canoeing was another standout experience, with pupils learning how to work as a team on the water while building confidence and having plenty of fun along the way. It was fantastic to see everyone supporting one another and celebrating each other’s successes.

The residential has been a brilliant opportunity for the children to step outside their comfort zones, try new things and develop important life skills. We are so proud of the enthusiasm, determination and teamwork they showed throughout the trip.
