Year 3 – Science – Physics – Magnets and Forces

Year 3 children enjoyed learning about magnets and forces today. Children learned about magnetic forces such as push (repel) and pull (attract) and how these apply to the real world.

Children also looked at the pulley system invention and learned about the basic components: axle, wheel, rope or cable, and applied human force (effort), and how this simply device can make lifting heavy loads easier much easier. Children produced some fantastic diagrams and wrote about the pulley system.
