This Monday morning, Year 3 swapped the classroom for the calming shade of our forest school Miss Bell and Mrs Carrasquella —and what a perfect day for it! Under the sunshine and surrounded by nature, the children explored creativity, teamwork, and the theme of friendship through a series of hands-on activities.
With clay, leaves, sticks, feathers, and stones at their fingertips, pupils were set the challenge of creating something that represented friendship. The results were as imaginative as they were thoughtful: clay hearts decorated with petals, miniature “friendship houses” built from twigs, and even sculpted animals made to represent qualities like loyalty and kindness.

A big well done to Year 3 for their thoughtful creations and the way they embraced the forest school spirit—collaborative, curious, and completely immersed in the moment!
