Year 1 – History

Year 1 have been learning all about famous women who have changed the world in their history lessons. So far the children have learned about the lives of Rosa Parks and Emmeline Pankhurst and how they both fought for equal rights.

The children read facts about Rosa Parks and ordered them from most important to least important and then added these onto a timeline of her life. Year 1 then looked at the life of Emmeline Pamkhurst and how she stood up for women’s rights during the Victorian era. Some children then got into the role of Emmeline and were asked questions about how she fought for women’s rights. Excellent work Year 1⭐️
