Y3 Art

Year 3 have completed a fantastic art project inspired by prehistoric cave art. They began by exploring images of ancient artwork and used pencils and charcoal to draw animals in the style of early humans. These drawings were then upscaled, and pupils created their own 'cave walls' using textured materials like rice and salt to give an authentic, rocky feel. They even mixed their own paint using natural materials to create traditional Stone Age colours before painting their animal designs onto their cave walls. The process was creative and skillful, and the results were absolutely brilliant!
