We had an exciting day in school last week the Newcastle Eagles came in to run a special “Hoops for Life” basketball session with our class. The children were buzzing with excitement as the coaches introduced them to some of the basic basketball skills, including dribbling, passing, and shooting.
The session wasn’t just about sport – the Eagles also spent time chatting with the children, answering lots of brilliant questions. The pupils were fascinated to hear about the hard work and teamwork it takes to succeed on and off the court.
The highlight for many was getting the chance to take their own shots at the hoop! It all about teamwork and encouragement from classmates throughout the session.
A huge thank you to the Newcastle Eagles for such an inspiring visit. The children left feeling motivated, active, and excited to keep practising their basketball skills.
