Year 3 – Europe

Year 3 children extended their knowledge of the local area and focused on countries in Europe. We used Google Earth and children used an atlas to find a selection of countries. Children enjoyed finding countries that were in the World Cup and some spotted the Ukraine and noted that this was a country in the news due to the conflict going on there with Russia. As a challenge, children also added seas, channels, and oceans.
