Year 3 – Christmas Cooking

Year 3 children had the chance to prepare and bake an apple tart yesterday. Children used a variety of ingredients such as apples, pastry, sugar, and butter. We looked at knife skills and focused on how to safely hold and use a knife when slicing fruit. We then put our tarts into the oven to bake for twenty minutes.
