Year 1 – Multiplication in maths

Year 1 have started a new unit in maths looking at multiplication and division. The children began by recapping counting in 2s and 5s and using counters to help put the numbers in the correct order.
They then put counters into equal groups. We discussed that if a number can be split equally into 2 groups it must be an even number.
