We are excited to share the wonderful experiences from our recent trip to the Farne Islands with Elle from the KATS (Kids action through science) team at Newcastle University! A selection of our Year 4 and 5 children had an unforgettable adventure exploring the beauty of this unique ecosystem and encountering its fascinating inhabitants.
Puffin Paradise: Our pupils had the chance to see puffins in their natural habitat.
Seal Spectacle: Witnessing the seals basking on the rocks and gliding through the waters was truly mesmerising. Our children gained a deeper appreciation for marine life and the importance of conservation efforts.
Educational Insights: The knowledgeable guides from the Billy Shiel’s Boat Tours shared valuable insights into the island’s ecology, wildlife conservation, and the significance of protecting our oceans. Our pupils were eager to learn and ask questions, making the experience both educational and engaging.
Memorable Moments: From seeing seals on the rocky shores to spotting seabirds in flight, every moment of our trip was filled with excitement and adventure!
