In art lessons, Year 1 have been exploring 3D sculptures. Children first looked at paintings and sculptures and discussed how they were different. Pupils noticed that paintings were 2D and looked the same from each angle. However, sculptures were different as they are 3D and they can look very different when you look at them from another perspective.
Children then learned how to make different shapes using card by twisting, bending and folding their card. They were then challenged to use the skills they have learned to create their own 3D drawing using different shapes, sizes and colours of card. Fabulous work!
