Wellbeing Ambassador Blog – Friday 1st October
This week posters have been going up along the corridors showing everyone in school the children’s version of our Wellbeing Vision Statement. The Wellbeing Ambassadors have also spoken to their class about it, asking them to try their best to live out the statements on it.
There are also posters showing the 5 Ways to Wellbeing on display. To explain one of the 5 ways in more detail, Y4 and Y5 Ambassadors took a part in Mr Turner’s assembly today.
We concentrated on CONNECT – a social action which means to engage with people and the world around us. It’s a good way to remind us that we are all important and valued by others.
During the assembly we also introduced “Friday 5 minute Friendships.” Each Friday on the yard we hope that more of children will become connected. We will start up a conversation with someone by asking a question from one of our conversation cards and we will then ask the other person to connect with others by doing the same with someone else. We hope that lots of children will be chatting on the yard, getting to know each other a little more and maybe make new friends along the way.
Here are some photos of our assembly presentation.
