Year 5 had a fantastic time celebrating Language Week, with a special focus on French during an exciting session that the children thoroughly enjoyed. One of the highlights was a visit from a guest from Petite Crêperie, who helped bring the language and culture to life.
During the session, the children had the opportunity to learn a few French phrases and get a taste of French culture in a fun and engaging way. It was a brilliant chance for them to experience something new and different.
A particular favourite moment was when we got to enjoy freshly made crêpes. Our guest from Petite Crêperie set up a mini cooking station with hot plates right in front of us, allowing the children to watch how authentic crêpes are made. The smell alone created a real buzz of excitement, and tasting them was definitely the best part!
It was a memorable experience that sparked curiosity and enthusiasm, giving the children a small but meaningful insight into another culture.
