Hello Year 3, I hope you have all had a nice break over the half term holidays and enjoyed the wonderful weather we have experienced. Below you will find this weeks home learning activities. As with the previous term, these activities are here to support your child as you see fit. Where possible I would recommend an English and Maths activity in the morning and topic based work for the afternoon.
This weeks literacy comes from Talk4Writing and is focused upon a magical trip through a wardrobe. As mentioned previously these are long booklets and will likely take longer than one week.
This weeks Maths is Week 5 on the White Rose Home Learning. Worksheets and answers are below and videos are available on the White Rose Website under Year 3 Home Learning.
If you have already done these sessions please click the link on the White Rose website next to the week 5 lessons and it will take you to alternative lesson videos, the activity sheets for which are located below.

Over the next half term we will be finishing our learning related to the Romans and begin to learn about Rivers in our final topic of Year 3 ‘Where do rivers come from?’ Our learning for the coming topic will be uploaded as a weekly menu instead of the whole half term.
The spellings which would have been covered over the half term are below. When possible it is worth discussing any outlined spelling rules or patterns to support remembering them.
This final half term I will continue to send home the remaining chapters of History Hackers. Remember that these can be used in place of reading scheme books and children can write their favorite facts in their reading diaries.
Below is the work for our next RE topic, Reconciliation. I have attached a planning overview, each learning focus represents is one lessons and I have also attached the some parent guidance notes. This week please try to focus on the week, 1 activity.
