Year 2 children have been working really hard in numeracy this week and focused on two very different yet challenging objectives: exploring the similarities and differences of 3-D shapes; and 2-Step word problems.
In geometry, children focused on comparing the properties of 3-D shapes by looking at faces, edges and vertices or vertex of a shape.
Children put their reasoning skills to the test with 2-Step word problems and needed to use subtraction, addition and multiplication to find answers to problems.
Children also had the opportunity to do peer assessment.
