Today Year 2 had a wonderful trip to the Great North Museum. We took part in a workshop to learn about the different ways we can classify animals. Next we explored the museum to find examples of these different classifications.

Year 2 have been developing their sculpting skills with clay and applied these to produce their own sculptures. The whole class learnt the skill of making a pinch pot and explored different ways to use this technique, producing varied and interesting results. Continue Reading
Each class received a lovely new story to read during Children’s Mental Health Week. They shared the book in story time with their teacher and discussed how the story encourages us to ‘grow together.’ Continue Reading
