Year 1 have been learning their phase 5 sounds in phonics lessons. This week children have learned the ‘al’ digraph pronounced as /or/ as well as the sound ‘y’ pronounced as /ee/.

Children have been working through their ELS apply books to blend, read and write their sounds,
