Science: What does a habitat offer for survival?

Children in Year 2 have been learning all about sharks and what their habitat offers in terms of survival. Children drew an illustration of a shark and labelled it with correct terminology: trunk, gills, fins, teeth, tail and eyes.

Children wrote about the importance of warm water to some sharks and how they like to be closer to the equator. Children added that a shark needs to continuously move to be able to breath and that because of this sharks do not require a home.
