Year One visit to the Castle Keep

Year One visit to the Castle Keep

Year One had a great visit to the Castle keep this week. First they had a very interesting tour of the castle. The children learnt all about the different parts of the castle and listened to some historical stories. They even pretended to be an invading Scottish army!

In the afternoon the children took part in a ‘Castles and Courts’ workshop. The children learnt all about the different jobs in a castle. The children then designed their own shield following the heraldry code.
