Armistice Day

Armistice Day

To mark Armistice Day on 11th November, each class prepared poppies which were added to a display of remembrance, remembering the fallen soldiers from the First World War and all subsequent conflicts. In the afternoon, Year 6 pupils led the school in a virtual liturgy in which the poem ‘For the Fallen’ by Robert Binyon was shared. Prayers were offered for all fallen soldiers, as well as the souls of all our family, friends and global neighbours who have died, as November is a month of remembrance. The liturgy ended with The Last Post and a two minute silence.

Thank you to Year 6 for their powerful and moving liturgy.
