Year One Educational Visit

Year One Educational Visit

Today Year One went on their school trip to Alnwick Gardens. A fabulous time was had by all! The children enjoyed a bus ride on our school mini buses and arrived ready for action up at Alnwick Gardens. The children were lucky to have lots of activities to do throughout the day.

The first was the ‘Roots and Shoots’ workshop. The children learnt about herbs from a very knowledgeable gardener and were able to plant their very home to take home.

The children then listened to a very interesting talk all about butterflies and were given the opportunity to ask questions.

After a tasty lunch and a yummy ice-cream the children were able to explore the grounds. There was so much to see and do including the Bamboo Labyrinth, water play in the Serpent Garden, getting wet in the fountains, walking through the Formal Gardens and swinging in the Cherry Orchards.
