Today Year 3 had a visitor -a Roman lady! She came in to talk about her life and the children found it very interesting. She told many entertaining stories about her daily life, such as how she had to weave wool to make clothes, the food she cooked and the many activities that kept her busy. She also talked about life as a Roman soldier and answered many of the children’s questions. One of the Year 5 boys even dressed up as a soldier. The children also got to handle lots of Roman artifacts. A great way to start a new topic!
