Collective Worship in Year One

Collective Worship in Year One

Today a group of children shared a collective worship about ‘Being Sorry’ with their friends. The children had planned the four areas of the worship together. They decided to gather the class together by inviting their friends into a circle whilst music was playing and a candle was lit. Then they shared the story of Levi from St Luke’s Gospel. The children were then asked to draw a happy smiling face on a post-it note and to put it on a large sheet. This was to symbolise how Levi felt when Jesus asked him to follow his way. Finally the children explained the mission for the week was to show love. The children delivered the worship in a quiet reflective way and the class responded well. A beautiful start to the day!
