Last year was amazing, let this year be even better!

Dear Parents and Carers,

At the most recent PTA Meeting (22 April) we talked about the many activities that are going on in and around school until the end of the year.  You may have seen from the recent newsletters that there are some “big” events as well as the usual ones.  For example:

  • ·         Family BBQ – 24th June
  • ·         Summer Fair – 2nd July
  • ·         Miss Purdy’s retirement mass and party – 12th July
  • ·         Whole school beach trip – 15th July
  • ·         School fun day – 20th July

As always, it would be great for as many parents, carers and grandparents to be able to come along and join in the fun.  To make many of these events a success the school also relies on our army of parents and helpers – so if you are able to help with anything please do let the school office, your class rep or any member of the PTA group know.  Class rep names are on the website.

To make it easier, instead of sending out the usual PTA minutes, we have prepared the attached table of events.  So you can note them in your calendars and, if you can help, sign up!  The school office will keep a paper copy handy for signing up.

Many of us don’t get to come to school regularly for pick-ups and drop-offs or struggle to access other communications so we have set up a PTA Facebook page.  It’s a closed group for use by any parents/carers of the school and we can use this to post details of events, share ideas etc.  It is called “St Teresa’s Catholic Primary PTA”.

If you are on Facebook and would like to join please find our page and click “Join Group”.    Because the group is closed, requests must be approved by one of the Administrators – but we will do these quickly (a bit like the school Twitter account).  We would love the group to be useful!  We will create events for whatever is happening and you can let others know you are coming or helping out.

Thanks again for all the continued support.
