World Book Day 2019

The theme for our World Book Day was vocabulary.  We thought of some excellent costumes including nouns, adjectives and verbs. Some excellent examples include; ornathologist, ocean, incognito and swashbuckler. We even made a class glossary using dictionaries to find our definitions.

We have been learning about Stone Age Pottery. It dates back to around 3500BC, during the Neolithic period. To better understand the challenges people of this time faced, we made our Stone Age pottery using only the materials and resources they would have had. To start our topic we explored cave paintings, we learnt about how Stone Age people created cave paintings using charcoal and other natural materials, then had a go at being Stone Age artists by creating our own cave paintings in class.
